Hi, for those who may Titus was take to the hospital by ambulance between late night on March 9, 2024 and early morning March 10, 2024. The days leading up to the event and even that day everything seemed to be normal until Titus started acting out of the ordinary. He started having what we found out to be were seizures. He was taken to the ambulance after getting him stable at our home and eventually intubated bc he stopped breathing on his own. The hospital by our home unfortunately couldn’t give him the proper care and he was sent by medi flight to CRMC hospital in Fresno. CRMC is where he received the majority of his care. He stayed in the icu there for about 6 days during the time because he was put into a medically induced coma and intubated for the reason that he was not breathing on his own and still having these seizures. After a couple of days he was put into a different room but the doctors still couldn’t find a main reason or diagnosis to what was causing the seizures or why he was having them. All we were told is that once we were discharged he would need to see a cardiologist, neurologist and a primary care doctor along with him needing 24/7 care. This was because Titus was discharged with left side weaknesses, unable to walk far distances, multiple medications, countless doctors appointments and unable to work because we don’t know when he could have one or what causes them. We were not financially prepared for this as we had just taken most of our savings to get an apartment about 3 days before this had happened and we’re barely finishing moving in. All of his doctors appointments are currently located in Fresno which is about an hour and a half away from where we live which means we spend a lot of gas along with all the other bills this comes with since he needs multiple medications, doctors appointments and whatever may come with this journey. This isn’t easy for me or him as it’s turned out lives upside down with neither of us being able to work or do much besides being at home and getting him out on his good days even if it’s for a little bit and something that’s going to be easy on his body because it’s affected him in more ways in one. Anything truly helps us even if it’s the smallest amount or even if it’s just a prayer because we truly need it right now with the fact that the doctors don’t even know what’s fully going on with him. We appreciate everyone who helps out as it gives us one less thing to worry about and allows us to focus on getting him the care he needs.
