After just having celebrated her 21st birthday, Samantha started experiencing frequent dizzy spells and nausea. Her primary care physician had discovered she was anemic. Time went by and the symptoms did not improve. On June 28th Samantha dropped off her one year old daughter at daycare. When she returned home she fainted and lost consciousness. After a while, Samantha mustered up enough strength to call her husband who then rushed her to the nearest hospital; where multiple tests and scans where run. The following day the results finally revealed that Samantha had been living with a cancerous form of tumor growing in her thorax, behind her chest. Due to the location of the tumor, doctors ruled the situation to be inoperable. Additional pathology and biopsies confirmed the devastating result to be an rare lymphoma called “Primary Mediastinal Large B-cell non-hodgkin's lymphoma”. Samantha’s proposed treatment plan includes an aggressive course of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The road to remission for Samantha will be long and hard. Those of you that know Samantha can speak on her strength, faith, and her ability to find joy in the most difficult situations. We stand in full confidence for her complete healing as we place our faith and trust in the Lord. We are asking for support to cover some of her expenses during this time which includes, out of pocket costs for medical treatment, day care for her baby, and loss of income.
