My name is Joe Parrillo(Jr.) and my father has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. In March of 2024, he started having abdominal pains which progressed and intensified over the next few months. After various medical visits and tests, we were all shocked and horrified by the diagnoses. The past 14 months have been a roller coaster of emotions and denial for himself and our entire family. My dad is a fighter. One of my earliest memories is of him training for the Toughman Boxing Tournament many years ago. I remember bragging to friends at school and bringing some to our house after class to watch recordings of his matches. I was, and still am very proud of my dad. Fighting this battle on a different front, he has been managing 14 months of aggressive chemotherapy, countless tests and the financial burden of all of this. Exhausting all other resources, we have located a trial in New York City for which he qualifies.
