Hey, my name is Tracy Green and my beautiful 27 year old daughter was hit and killed on I-40 east at mile marker 268 on July 4th, 2024 at approximately 2 am. My daughter wrecked her car, got out and was walking for help when she was struck by a 18 wheeler and thrown down the embankment. The truck that struck her did not stop and left her to lay on the embankment alone. She was found by our family on July 5th, 2024 at approximately 8:30 am and she had passed away. Diamond has a beautiful 8 year old daughter, Naomi, who is now left without any parents. Naomi just lost her father, Elijah, to gun violence a year ago on Feb. 19, 2024. Now this beautiful baby has lost her mother due to a hit and run accident. No child her age should be experiencing what she is going through. Naomi will now reside with her grandparents, Tracy and Mike Green. She is already in grief counseling at school and will definitely need extensive therapy to deal with what she has been through. It's hard enough to lose a parent but at such a young age she has lost both. Any help offered will be GREATLY appreciated. It will go to the care of Naomi and all of her future needs. Whether it be therapy, schooling, etc. This baby has her whole future ahead of her and her light is so bright. Tragedies from cruelties of this world is trying to dim it. We will fight for Naomi to continue to stay positive and know both her parents are always with her and watching over her as her guardian angels.
