Hi, my name is Emily. I've known Al for over ten years, since he joined my family as a loving partner to my mom, Cindy. He had an ischemic stroke at the end of March 2024 that has left him in a place of recovery that requires more resources than we currently have access to, but we do have hope for recovery! Al joined my family bringing light in a very dark time for us kids at the time. We were all concerned about my mom having to take care of our disabled sister Kelsey all on her own, while also trying to provide for herself. She was doing a fantastic job, but we were always worried until Al came into her life. He didn't think twice about committing to my mom, a mother of three - with one handicapped child completely dependent on her. He stepped up and he was there for all of us! I know this story is very much from my perspective, but I think most people would agree that Al is an incredible man who rose to challenges in the name of love. Especially in our family, that might scare most people off. That's just one testament to his character among so many others. We need Al back, in whatever way he can return - but we need help. We are trying to keep our family together, but money is always tough - now more than ever. Any amount is appreciated, but we also understand if it's not something you can do! We love you for having read this regardless. Thank you all for your interest, we pray this chapter of our lives closes on a positive note and we're so grateful for all who held us in their thoughts and also those who were able to financially offer support. With SO much love, thank you. The donations will go toward medical bills, updates to the home to facilitate home care, and daily expenses after losing the second income to the home. These donations will help us be able to find the best support for Al, while keeping my family's head above water.
