Background In 2024, my son was diagnosed with a severe scoliosis in his spine. (66 degrees)TreatmentThere are many potential risks associated with spinal surgery and we are not comfortable with that. The multiple specialists (& people who have had scoliosis treatment) we’ve spoken with believe it should be a very last option and we are in agreement with that. Based on our research and conversations, we moved ahead with conservative treatment methods. The cost for treatmentConservative treatment is NOT covered by OHIP, we use our limited family benefits to cover ongoing chiropractor treatments and we are at the top of our financial limitations. This leaves us to come up with ongoing treatment costs. ($6000 annually, for weekly treatments)My son enjoys working with motorcycles and has plans to open his own auto shop in the future. As he is young and still growing, it is crucial that we continue treatment to prevent invasive surgery and further curving which can cause other serious health issues. We are believing for healing and greatly appreciate your prayers & consideration to help
