On Thursday, July 20, 2024, Steve took his road bike out with his friend for a night ride. They were zipping around town like they have numerous times before. On his way back home, he came across an unexpected retaining wall. There was no time to stop and he flew over the wall, landing on the sidewalk below. An ambulance took him to HCMC for their trauma center and where he is currently being treated. Thankfully he was wearing his helmet, which probably saved his life, but unfortunately he has significant injuries including a fractured skull, fractured vertebrae in his neck, broken tailbone, fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. Steve's job is very physically demanding and his long road of recovery will put him out of work for quite some time. Please consider donating to help with his medical expenses and help him and his family with anything they need while he is out of work. All donations and healing thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
