Our beautiful shop, Splash Naturals in downtown Montpelier, VT, was hit by the recent flood. With the help of amazing community volunteers, we were prepared as best we could. But we still experienced significant losses, including inventory and daily revenue. We want to open as soon as we can, but obstacles continue to arise. Today, we learned that our floors will need to be replaced and that FEMA will not be giving recovery funds to Vermont businesses. Being in a flood zone means that flood insurance is cost prohibitive and as with many other businesses we are unable to support the cost. For all these reasons, we are asking for help to support us as we navigate this complicated time. Whether you are from our town or far away, we appreciate any help you can give us. We feel deep gratitude for the community and are truly humbled by the amount of help we have received so far. We feel such love and such sorrow for our beautiful community and our beautiful customers who are experiencing loss of any kind and who are struggling with the effects of the flood. We miss you, we look forward to seeing you, and we feel great pride in the special place we are so blessed to call home. With love and gratitude, Maddie and Kelly
