I pride myself for always being able to provide for Jaylin! Not only her needs, but her wants! In this season I can barely afford her needs and I’m being really hard on myself! I’m very fragile, so tread lightly!  This is terrifying! I’m vulnerable, overwhelmed, fatigued, paranoid, misunderstood, and scared to name a few of the emotions I’m experiencing. The easy solution is to go home, but God wants me here, so I’m doing everything in my power to stand on His promises!  Background Story: The million-dollar question I get every day is the following: Why did you move from Seattle, WA to Durham, NC? The short answer is being obedient to God! The long answer is I had a dream in 2019 that I moved here. (I will post the dream when I find it) I experienced encounters with people from Durham so much that I began to pray on it! After praying and fasting, it became clear that God wanted me to move to Durham. It got to the point that I said, "God, I don't know what you're doing, but I trust you and if you make a way, I will go!" Since being here there's been a lot of pivots and resets! Too many to name, however, I will say that the catalyst to get here was a live in nanny position that fell through almost immediately! The second job was great and provided me with the ability to get a place, however, within one month of working, my hours were cut from 40 to 10-15! I began driving Lyft, Instacart, and Uber to make ends meet which took a toll on my health. I got a roommate which helped tremendously, but they disappeared last October which left me with the burden of paying all the rent on my not-so-big income. March rolls around and Bae (my granny) dies and I'm hit with the most unpleasant GRIEF ever! At this point, I'm ready to throw in the towel, but God keeps confirming to me that I'm right where I need to be! JAYLIN-- In the words of PMT, Jaylin is proof God loves me! North Carolina has been a different experience for her! She has made the honor roll 3 times for the first time and is coming into her own. The following are highlights within the last month! 1. She was accepted into the Wake Forest Entrepreneur Academy -- a program comparable to Shark Tank where she can compete for up to 20,000 in the Fall. She just completed week 1 and is enjoying it. The issue is it's an hour away from where we live and has been costly traveling back and forth. 2. She was accepted in the #NAH Ambassador Bootcamp where she receives training in STEAM/Health education, mentorship, and networking opportunities. 3. Jaylin created a resume and got hired on the spot! (talk about favor) She is working her first job at a fast food chain. 4. We are waiting to see if she will be accepted into the Early College program at NCCU! When she gets in, she will do all 4 years of HS on the college campus! HELP NEEDED! I've been drowning in bills! Most recently, my car engine light came on and the dealership can't fit me in until the end of August. I drive Lyft Full-Time and for the past month, I've been renting a car from Lyft which is $374 dollars a week. Before last month, I could cover the cost of the rental in 2 days, but with the schools being on break, I'm barely breaking even! I'm living off of credit cards and a lot of these programs want you to be going through the eviction process to help! I need just a little more time. I'm interviewing for jobs, but if I take anything at this point, it won't be enough to get me out of the red! My immediate needs are to pay for my rent and car. I have moved 3 times in the last year! If push comes to shove--I don't mind moving if that is what I have to do, however, I know Jaylin is so worried and wants to stay! If you can't donate--please PRAY for us! I just want the Lord to do His will in my life! I've been down since 2019! My breakthrough is coming! *I'm impeccable with my word! I know these are donations, but I will pay back whoever donates to this fundraiser.
