Hello Everyone, I represent Team Shekeylia Johnson, who has had a long battle with cancer. I'm writing you to ask for your prayers and support to help "Keylia" with one of the most difficult chapters in her life. I asked myself how can such a humble, loving, giving and compassionate person, be given such a heavy load to carry. In 2019, Keylia was diagnosed with breast cancer and she went through surgery to remove the tumor and several rounds of chemo. In 2024 as she was completing chemotherapy for her breast cancer, she began to have pain on her side. After further testing, she was diagnosed with colon cancer that had metastasized to her liver. This was devastating to not only find out that she had another cancer but Keylia had requested a colonoscopy a year prior however, her insurance denied it due to her age and no family history. Shekeylia was now diagnosed with two primary cancers. Shekeylia worked in the medical field for over 25 years, loved helping her patients and treated them like her own family. She was a social butterfly, who loved to make everyone smile. After going through many treatments and multiple surgeries, she had to stop doing what she loved and go on disability due to the side effects of the cancer. Every year since 2019, Shekeylia has battled cancer with only 4 months of remission. This aggressive cancer has not only been tiring and difficult for her but it has also been heartbreaking for her children, parents, family and friends. Recently, she received her follow-up report and new tumors were found. Shekeylia is a fighter and knows that God will give her the strength to fight once again. As you can imagine medical expenses for prescriptions, treatments, procedures and other expenses have been very overwhelming. The LFEBridge has been created to assist Shekeylia to mitigate any unforeseen financial burdens and ease the stress from fighting this cancer. First, Team Keylia is requesting prayers for her continued strength during this battle. We would also appreciate any donation or sharing her story with others.
