In June 2024, our beloved Shanda received a Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer diagnosis, a devastating blow after enduring two years of pandemic hardships. United as a family, we rallied around her with unwavering support and love. Shanda faced this terrifying challenge head-on, displaying remarkable courage throughout intense chemotherapy, a major surgery, and their aftermath. Miraculously, on Christmas Eve, she received the news that the chemotherapy was successful, the surgery had removed remaining cancerous bits, and she was in remission. Filled with joy and motivation, she eagerly sought to regain her life, focusing on her children, business, and personal well-being. However, in May of this year, Shanda experienced renewed discomfort, only to discover that the cancer had returned aggressively and spread throughout her body. Given a short, terminal prognosis, she was presented with two options: to manage symptoms and discomfort as the cancer ran its course or to embark on a more intensive chemotherapy regimen in an attempt to suppress its spread. Choosing the latter, Shanda refused to surrender to this enemy, determined to fight for her life. We understand that this news may come as a shock, especially to those who have been closest to Shanda throughout her journey. She refuses to let this battle define her or hinder her ability to lead her life, run her business, and nurture her relationships. Shanda's strength and resilience have been awe-inspiring, as she has strived to uphold her responsibilities as a single mother and small business owner without the safety net of medical benefits or insurance coverage. While we are fortunate to live in a country with free healthcare, there are financial burdens that Shanda is unable to shoulder alone. We are humbly asking for your assistance in relieving some of the pressures she faces, allowing her to focus on her fight, rest, and trust in the love and goodness of God. Please consider contributing to Shanda's financial well-being, enabling her to prioritize her battle against cancer while maintaining her strength and mental well-being.
