The BAD NEWS: Sarah has a tumor on her spinal cord. The GOOD NEWS: We're gonna help! Since 2018, Sarah's health has become progressively more debilitating. She was experiencing so much chronic pain and a major loss of mobility throughout her body that she had to move in with family. She went to several specialists trying to figure out WTF was wrong, but it remained a mystery for a very long time. THANKFULLY we finally have a diagnosis after Sarah underwent a very risky biopsy: ependymoma– a rare tumor on her cervical spinal cord. Since the biopsy, Sarah has spent more than a month in the hospital recovering as she slowly regains her strength and mobility. And once she's sufficiently recovered from her surgeries, she'll start radiation therapy to hopefully kill the remaining tumor cells, which will probably exacerbate her chronic fatigue and pain. Unfortunately, this whole ordeal has forced Sarah to put a pause on her work and schooling obligations. AND THAT'S WHERE WE COME IN! She'll need our help to get back on her feet as she slowly regains her strength and mobility. So give what you can. Share with your friends. And let's help Sarah get back on her feet so she can get back to working on her dream of becoming a mental health counselor (in addition to continuing her work as an artist and author).
