Vulnerable post...Exactly one month ago today, I did not expect to receive life-changing, gut-wrenching news many women have faced. "Your ultrasound shows signs of breast cancer." My heart immediately dropped, gut clenched, tears started rolling, and my feelings began to numb as I thought, "Why me." I have been torn to share my journey, but my husband reminds me, "God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers." I believe now he had already been prepping me through my holistic healing for what I was about to face. In this short time though, I have met and spoken to some amazing fighters/survivors. I hope to be another voice for others and heal while sharing through my journey. The past 30 days have been a rollercoaster of emotions, appointments, first treatment, and continued gut-wrenching news of how aggressive it is. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by my husband, family, friends, supporters, and navigators. The feeling of being surrounded by an army of prayer has been overwhelming.
