On March 26th of this year, Mark Maslousky went out for an ice cream and his life was forever changed.   On the way back it started raining very hard and he was in an automobile accident where he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him a tetraplegic.  Mark has no feeling in his lower extremities and went through surgery to rebuild his spine with rods.  It was a long road before mark was released from Geisinger Community Medical Center trauma unit in Scranton, to Allied Rehabilitation Hospital Inpatient.  After months, he was finally able to come home and continues to participate in outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy. It was not easy for the family as they needed to make many home renovations before that could happen: handicap ramp, handicap thresholds, etc.   Mark had been laid off from his job for months before the accident and now has multiple medical bills, co-pays, expenses for prescriptions, and medical supplies.Mark lives in Scranton, PA where he raised 2 sons, the youngest still resides at home while working and attending Keystone College.Mark's wife Jane quickly acclimated herself to caretaking of Mark including transfers, dressing, bathing, and tending to needs.  The couple, married for over 31 years  is trying to stay in their home while she is seeking a full-time position to help them become more financially stable. Many organizations have been amazing in helping with aides and certain renovations, however, they took 5 months to begin while they lived on Jane's 401K money.Mark and Jane are also hopeful they can get a handicap accessible van in order to transport Mark; he currently takes a paratransit service that only runs Monday through Friday. You can help with your financial donaton.  Let's all                   HELP MARK ROLL FORWARD!
