Hi friends, My name is Priscilla. I am a healthcare worker and caregiver for my mom in Seattle. At the request of my mental health team, I am planning on booking a trip to a wellness retreat. If you know me, you know I spend a lot of my time/energy caring for others, and it seems I've gotten to a point where I'm unable to ignore my ~*trauma*~ any longer which is exacerbating my CPTSD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. A whole neurodiverse spicy sandwich. The funds from this LFEBridge will go towards airfare, lodging/food, and various wellness activities to ground myself and focus on my mental health needs. I am looking forward to spending time in nature, doing gentle movement, and honestly just existing as me- Priscilla the person, not the caregiver or healthcare community engagement worker. When I return I will be working closely with a somatic therapist in addition to beginning cognitive processing therapy with my current cognitive behavioral therapy provider. I will also be taking an extended leave from work. To be honest, I'm nervous about fully letting my guard down, getting into & really feeling the things I need to process, but I know it will be worth it.
