This is my sister in law, Shelly Beggett (Rooke)On September 2 2015' she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancershe has 2 forms of breast cancer, ductile carcinoma and Estrogen Receptor Positive, (aggressive), both of which are in the lymph nodes Her coarse of treatment will be 4 cycles of Adriamycin & Cytoxin followed by Neulasta shots to stimulate the growth of white blood cells. And reduce infectionNext will be chemo for 12  cycles/weeks of Taxol to target fast dividing cancer cells, followed by a bilateral mastectomy for March 2016 followed by radiation and hormone therapyThis is going to be a long hard journey.Shelly lives in Texas and while her children are in there early 20's, she is single and has no financial support from a partner,Her health insurance covered the Ct scan, mammograms, ultra sounds, biopsies, surgery for lymph biopsy  and the chemo to be placed in her chest, BUT IT DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF CHEMOTHERAPY MEDSHer cancer clinic has gone to bat to get medications covered, and some have been, they have exhausted every avenue on her behalf and she is now considered a self pay patient.  She is responsible for the cost of the Chemo, $950.00 US each treatment as well as other medsThere is no way she can cover these costs alone, and although she is feeling positive, and wants to keep working, there will be a time when she will be unable to so that she may rest and healI am asking on her behalf for help to alleviate the stress of having to cover her treatments.Shelly resides in Georgetown Texas where she has lived for over 20 years raising her 3 boys, (pictured) and has a job she loves.  She was raised in Lake Cowichan and was schooled at UVIC.  After she met her soon to be husband she moved to his native Texas to raise a family.shelly still has all of her family and many friends here in Canada and sadly cannot be surrounded by them all the time while she is undergoing treatment.Thank you for your kindness and generosity.  Let's make someone's life a little easier during a tragic time
