Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers, My name is Carolyne. My family, friends, and I are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits as we start this LFEBridge campaign for our dear friend Frank Craig. I met Frank back in February 2000 when I went to work at Desert Specialties. Little did we know that our families would create an unbreakable bond, turning us into a family over the years. Our kids grew up together, sharing countless memories, and our lives intertwined through the ups and downs that life threw at us. Now, we find ourselves rallying together to support Frank and Dawn during this challenging time. In 2024, Frank embarked on a long and arduous battle with non-healing wounds that eventually led to hospitalization due to severe infections. After exploring various treatment options, a difficult decision was made to undergo foot reconstruction surgery. Unfortunately, fate had different plans, and the first surgery failed, resulting in a bone infection that required immediate attention and subsequent surgeries. Just when Frank thought the worst was behind them, life dealt another blow. A rear-end accident caused ankle instability, necessitating yet another surgery for an ankle fusion. However, despite the hopes for a successful recovery, the ankle fusion failed, resulting in another bone infection. Frank fought valiantly for a year, battling severe illness and attempting to heal, but ultimately, the decision to undergo a below-the-knee amputation had to be made to save his life. Throughout this challenging journey, Frank has faced unimaginable pain, emotional distress, and the inability to work. Mounting medical expenses have only added to the burden, making it increasingly difficult for them to afford the necessary treatment and care. Today, we stand united in our determination to help Frank regain his mobility and sense of normalcy. The cost of a prosthetic leg, specifically tailored to meet his everyday needs, is a staggering $38,000. We aim to raise $10,000, which will cover their expected portion and other medical expenses, allowing him to move freely and regain some of the independence he once had. Your generous contribution will provide financial assistance and a beacon of hope for Frank, Dawn, and their family.
