I am reaching out to you to request for your support in my battle against a rare form of heart cancer. On March 9th, the week before my 25th birthday, I was diagnosed with a rare form of heart cancer (cardiac angiosarcoma). Waking up with excruciating chest pains, I sought medical help only to be diagnosed with pericarditis. However, as the pain persisted, I knew there was something more. Returning to the ER, I was admitted, and finally on March 9th, the diagnosis came. Imagine the confusion, shock, and fear that washed over a young woman like me, with a two-year-old daughter to care for. It has been an incredibly arduous journey, enduring two life-threatening heart biopsies and four cardiac surgeries. Somehow, with divine strength, I found the courage to face this battle head-on. Each round of aggressive chemotherapy has left me hospitalized, sick, unable to eat, and in unimaginable pain. My body has been through so much, having already endured multiple surgeries. My compromised immune system has led to numerous hospital admissions, with one doctor even telling me that without blood transfusions, I would have only a day or two to live. Separated from my daughter, I have found solace and comfort in scripture, specifically Psalms 27, 46, 61, and 91. Throughout it all, I have relied on my unwavering faith to carry me through. By some miracle, I have persevered. The tumor, once deemed inoperable, has now shrunk by over 60%, making surgery a possibility. I have an upcoming open heart surgery, followed by two final rounds of chemotherapy. Your support means the world to me, and I humbly ask for your continued prayers and encouragement.
