Hi there, it's me, Michele. I have never had to ask for help before but now I'm pretty desperate. Last week my 35-year-old son, Robert, suffered an unexpected stroke. Thankfully he was with friends that rushed him to the hospital in Seattle immediately. After two days in the hospital, the doctors discovered that he has a hole in his heart and needs to get it repaired sooner rather than later. Normally this would not be that big of deal but unfortunately, he has to pay for it completely out of pocket. For those of you who don't know Robert, he is a wonderful son, brother, and uncle. He is one of the most kind and compassionate humans out there. He adores his two nephews who absolutely worship him. He currently works as a server for a popular local Seattle restaurant. He is a passionate singer and actor. He had plans of going back to school this fall to fulfill a promise he made to his dying Grandfather. This unexpected medical emergency has completely changed things for him. It’s crazy because he is never sick and has never had medical issues before. This surgery costs upwards of $30,000 even though it is relatively simple. We can’t move forward with scheduling the procedure until we can come up with a significant down payment. We hope you can help us spread the word so that we can not only afford the down payment but the surgery as well. We know so many that have been touched by Robert and he needs all of our help to get him through this tough time. It is our most fervent hope to get Robert the medical attention he needs so that he can fulfill his promise to his Grandpa and get that college degree. Any help you are willing to give will be most appreciated. Thank you so much for being here for our family and helping us lift Robert up and out of this nightmare
