Hi, my name is Alana Morgin, the daughter of the incredible Lucia Morgin. As many of you know, my mom has been fighting a long, hard battle against her cancer. We have received so much support in order to get her to the specialized care (that is out of her insurance network) in New Orleans. However, to our heartbreak it was a little too late in time. What was supposed to be a one week stay, turned in to eight up and down weeks. Right as things were looking up for the best, they took a turn for the worst. We are faced with the devastating reality of hospice. However, in order to fly her home via ambulance air, it is $30,000 out of pocket, as insurance won’t cover it. We ask for anything to help in the most vulnerable and painful place in our lives. Anything helps. The Morgin’s love you all. My amazing mother has been the absolute best mother, woman, and human anyone could ask for in their lives and we just want her to be comfortable in her own home for her last moments. She just finished her life long dream of finishing her degree, learning to teach brail, and there was so much of life and world she still wanted to see. We are absolutely broken and can use any support and generosity that we can graciously receive. Thank you so much from the soul of our hearts.
