Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters, I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for assistance on behalf of my mom, Ludmila Umansky, has been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). Our goal is to raise funds to provide her with a life-changing opportunity for treatment at a clinic in Turkey, where she can receive the care she urgently needs to regain her health and well-being. The chemotherapy my mom underwent in the United States unfortunately resulted in severe and permanent side effects, a rarity experienced by only 3% of patients. The most shocking being permanent loss of a portion of my moms hearing. Due to these complications, this form of chemotherapy is not a viable option for her. Moreover, the cost of alternative, less aggressive chemotherapy approaches is not covered by medical insurance in the United States. The only available options for this type of treatment involve private clinics, which charge exorbitant fees ranging from $120,000 and beyond. After a detailed review of my mom's medical records, Dr. Iyikesici, a renowned specialist, conducted a virtual consultation and proposed a personalized treatment plan. The recommended course includes Metabolically Supported Chemotherapy, hyperthermia and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, supportive infusions paired with oral medication, and a ketogenic diet. This comprehensive treatment regimen consists of 7 sessions over a period of 3 months, with each session costing $5,000 USD. After this treatment is complete, my will will have to go for surgery. Depending on the success of this surgery, the oncologist will decide if further chemotherapy or radiation is required. We are humbly reaching out to our friends and community who may be able to contribute to our cause. Our target is to raise $45,000 USD, which will cover the costs of transportation to Turkey, the treatment itself, and accommodation for the duration of the treatment.
