Hi, my name is Mohid. I live in Columbus, Ohio and am an immigrant from Pakistan. I have arranged this go fund me to raise funds to help reunite my dad with our family. My dad has been living and working in Saudi Arabia for the last 48 years. For the last several years he has been trapped in the country because of the Saudi legal system, causing financial and emotional distress. He has had a case lodged against him in which he owes 105,000 Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR)/ $28000 USD. This financial case was originally filled against the company he was a partner in. Two other partners in the business fraudulently and forcefully pressured my dad to be solely responsible for the entire lawsuit. A high ranking Saudi official threatened him. His passport was also illegally confiscated by his Saudi immigration sponsor. In the last few years, my dad has tried several times to find a solution and reason with those holding him in Saudi. He is 68 years old and exhausted, depressed and angry about what he has gone through. All he wants is to retire and go home to his family, many of whom he has not seen in almost a decade. More recently, we have finally successfully negotiated with them, coming to a deal- to pay them 100,000 SAR/$27000 USD. We have repaid 20,000 SAR/ $5333 USD so far and are hoping to raise funds to offset the huge burden of the remaining 80,000SAR/ $21,333 USD.
