Please help my brother and his family pay for his medical expenses and stay afloat financially through this difficult time!!!! Any amount will help! Recently my brother Eddie had a medical emergency and ended up in the hospital with a perforated bowel. I will keep the graphic details to a minimum, but realistically if he had waited even another day to get checked out, he could have died of Sepsis. Over the next few day's he would have 3 surgeries to temporarily fix and clean up his insides. He has another week in the hospital but Drs. are very optimistic about his progress. He will eventually need more surgeries to undo the current procedures and return him to a normally functioning digestive system. There could not have been a more inopportune moment for this to happen as my brother was working for CTS - Christmas Tree Shops, which recently filed for bankruptcy. The day I visited him in the hospital, the day before his 3rd surgery, the company laid him off. On top of that, he is now in limbo with his next employer as he obviously cannot work. Without the ability to collect FMLA, and the state making him and his family jump through hoops for assistance it is an uphill battle for him not only medically but also financially. This fundraiser is meant to help with medical bills and also to help provide for his wife and 16 year old daughter while he is unable to work. Eddie is my older brother, with 15 years on me. I always admired his musical ability and artistic talent. I remember seeing a painting of his in our family room as a kid and thinking to myself "wow, this is beautiful," then come to find out that the person who painted it was Eddie. He is a rockstar and I don't mean figuratively... Eddie has been in numerous bands and can play pretty much every instrument he puts his hands on... at least that is what I still believe. Recently, he even put out his own CD with some amazing songs that he wrote. His love for music even carries over into his family life as his daughter is named for one of his favorite musicians and bands, Farrenheit, with Charlie Farren. Farren is just a few months older than my firstborn son so it is great when we all get to be together as our children are close in age. I love my brother and his family and want to do what I can to help them overcome this gigantic obstacle. So, please, help out if you can. Even the smallest denomination can make a difference!
