Most of you know my Grandma as the most caring, giving, heartfelt women who has been through so much in her life but always has a smile on her face. If you know my Grandma, you know she is the most strongest women there is. As a single Grandmother raising two of her grandchildren, and after outliving two of her own children, she has been through so much already. But I am reaching out today to share the news that my Grandmother has been unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. On Sunday July 2nd, She went to the emergency room for chest pain and shortness of breath. After a few scans, her CT results showed multiple masses on her breast and throughout her body. Days After being admitted to the hospital, she was sent for a colonoscopy where another mass was found in her colon. Shortly after her colonoscopy, her blood pressures dropped and she was then upgraded to the ICU. After multiple biopsy’s she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. If you know my Grandma, you know that she is the last person who deserves this. Up until being hospitalized she was still working full time as a single Grandmother raising two of her grandchildren. Unfortunately due to the Cancer we are unsure if she will be able to return back to work. After being discharged from the hospital, she will be staying with family while we make some changes and upgrades to her home to best fit her health needs and family so we can all be there to stay with her. We are asking for those who could, to help her through this hard time financially, so she can focus on her fight with cancer without having to worry about the financial burden of being out of work, and to also help with the cost to make the changes to her home so she can be with all of her family.
