Hi everyone,I’m so excited to tell you that I’ve been accepted into TruNorth! This is an incredible opportunity I have to attend a young adult service and education program for the next nine months. TruNorth is hosted at Fort Wilderness, a Christian camp in the beautiful north woods of WI that I grew up going to with my family since I was young. This program prepares us (approximately ten students) to become leaders and strengthen our faith in the process. Within this time we will be attending classes that walk us through the Bible in its entirety as well as serve others throughout the year. Each week we will support local churches by cooking or facilitating fun activities. Additionally, the weekends will be dedicated to serving campers as they come to Fort for various adventures and getaways. I feel God is calling me to take some time away and dive into His purpose for me. I would love to learn more about my faith and who I am in God’s eyes. My hope is to become a teacher-leader to those who have yet to experience the love of God and be there for others through their many struggles and hardships. 1 Peter 4:10-11 - "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord." Thank you so much for helping me get to this point. I would love your continuous support through this.
