As you all know now, our dear friend Joseph has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Follicular Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It all started when one of his nymphnodes swole up on his neck. It is a blood cancer that has spread through-out his lymphnatic system, spleen, and is 1/3 of his blood marrow. Doctors think he could've had it a handful of months to a couple years. Good news is that MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTERS based out of Houston, Texas just teamed up with Baptist Health here in Jacksonville, Florida and thats who we have treating him. They are very optimistic with a solid plan. He will undergo 6 months of chemo to see how his body reacts. Being that his cancer is not so aggressive, it may not react to the chemotherapy. Then we will have to go take a different plan of action. So keep those thoughts and prayers coming. This is not a cureable cancer once it gets into stages 3 and 4 but with new advancements in medicine, we have a chance to put it in remission. He will definately be fighting this his entire life. Joseph got terminated from his job at ARROW TRUCK SALES (a volvo corp) and his company paid insurance was cancelled immediatley after they caught wind of his illness. He went to Dr. on Tuesday and was let go on Friday. Even after being terminated and getting a cancer diagnoses, he is still pushing forward. He can't wait to see how his body will react to the 3 day chemo regiment every 28 days so he can pursue other career interests. Until then, he has been denied disability. His bills are piling up, services are getting disconnected, he hasn't been able to support his children, and he's to stubborn and embarrased to ever ask anybody for help. But if Joseph doesn't get help soon, he and his family will be without nothing.
