Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for a life changing surgery that I have needed for years. ✨I have spent the last few months of 2024 and ALL of 2024 working 2-3 jobs, working most Saturdays and even some Sundays, while trying to cut spending and increase savings, and I’m sure most of you know how hard that is currently.Unfortunately I have also had personal health issues, unexpected vehicle expenses after a car accident in 2024 and a lot of time spent with my partner who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. All this to say, life never makes plans easy or goals attainable even when you work as hard as you can.All of this effort has left me just $1200 shy of my $8000 goal. I am planning a garage sale in late July on top of continuing to work weekends after my 40+ hour regular work weeks. I suffer with chronic daily back pain, joint pain, and pain in my neck and shoulders from the straps of my bra. I cannot sleep on my back because the weight from my chest makes it hard to breathe and I often wake up from sleep apnea symptoms.Sleeping on my stomach throws my back out of alignment and the temporary relief from sleeping on top of pillows is not a long term solution. This just leads to strain on my hips and knees when I sleep on my stomach. Unfortunately medical insurance refuses to cover a breast reduction when performed by a plastic surgeon, however in our area, the best post op results are done by a plastic surgeon. This is also my best option for getting down to a size that will be most comfortable for my body type. I have already lost weight in preparation for this surgery, 80lbs to be precise, to meet the requirements for the size I would like to reduce to. And now, after this tremendous weight loss, I am stuck carrying the weight of my chest, that hasn’t seemed to shrink at all with the rest of my body, on a significantly smaller frame. Which isn’t exactly comfortable… The procedure requires a down payment of 50% of the cost prior to surgery and the remaining balance to be paid at the time of surgery. I will also have to take at least a week off of work post op for recovery. Please help me reach my goal so I can finally sleep, work, and exercise comfortably. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I am so thankful to everyone who has been supportive of this goal and all of its challenges since my planning began last year. ✨
