Hi guys, UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported so far. Unfortunately, despite best efforts, both my parents succumbed to their injuries and have both passed away. Whilst the majority of the funds went towards their care, the remainder will be used towards funeral costs. ---------------------------------------------------- As a lot of you know, my parents have been talking about moving back to Ghana for their retirement for years! On 15th July, they finally made this dream a reality. On 21st July, they were both involved in a near fatal accident when their tyres inexplicably blew out. My mum sustained a punctured lung, broken bones in 3/4 limbs. My dad required assistance breathing for 5 days and they both suffered spinal shock and will require spinal surgery once strong enough. Everything they need (medication whilst in hospital, food & water, blood, aftercare) has to be paid for privately and there is no insurance to lean on. Right now, I have no sight of how much the final medical bill will be. Seeing my parents in such a state has been heartbreaking but my energy is focused on staying strong for them. Appreciate that times are hard for everyone at the moment but I hope (if you can) you can help with some of the bills being thrown my way. Funds will be used for prescribed medication (we're buying this on a daily basis), surgery costs, and the inevitable physio & rehab they'll need once the surgeries have been successfully completed.
