Manor Records Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that functions as a record label that turns profits into resources to support local musicians by helping to finance physically releasing music, pay for press coverage, and navigate booking shows. Manor Records has taken many forms throughout our journey. From house shows in a basement in Shawnee, to our bar concept in Strawberry Hill we have done our best to be flexible and follow our mission of putting local musicians as our top priority. In the months since the bar closed, we regrouped with a new board consisting of Shaun Crowley, Skylar Rochelle, Kayla Jarrett, and Connor Randell and have a clear vision of how to help support the artists we work with. After a long time of figuring out if a storefront would be a part of that vision, we were pointed in the direction of the 12th Street Post located in the West Bottoms. They have presented us with the opportunity to rent out the basement space of their building to build a new home for Manor Records. Our record store will function as a separate business that is an LLC that donates weekly profits to our non-profit and its mission. We plan to have a surplus of new and used vinyl, cassettes, and CDs available for sale and host live music, band practices, and much more in this space. We are raising this money to go towards the following build-out & inventory needs to help us get up and running:: 12 Ikea Kallex Shelving Units. Lumber for register, record shelves, and stage build-out. Register system setup through Toast. New vinyl inventory. Mural and space artwork. Business licenses & transfer to MO fees. We plan to be open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am - 6 pm, and Sundays from 11 am - 4 pm once we reach our funding goals!
