Hello, my name is Ashley Lee, and I have been so blessed to be able to call Mandy Lee my sister-in-law. As most of you know, Mandy has been battling Breast Cancer for the past year. Due to all the treatments she has received, she is starting to feel the weight of the many medical bills acquired, as well as the concern for the costs of her future treatments and bills. I am creating this fundraiser in hopes of helping with these costs so she and her family can focus on healing. Mandy was diagnosed with Stage 2, Grade 3, Triple Negative Breast Cancer on January 4th, 2024 - the most aggressive type of Breast Cancer there is. She has completed 15 of 16 rounds of Chemotherapy and has spent 2 weeks total in the Intensive Care Unit. On the 1st ICU admission, she was extremely Anemic and required 4 blood transfusions. On the 2nd ICU admission, she was Neutropenic and required 1 blood transfusion. Her last Chemo treatment put her back in the hospital with a Neutropenic Fever. Mandy, and my wonderful brother-in-law, Jeremy, own their own moving company. They both work equally and do all the work together. Since this diagnosis, Mandy has not been to contribute to the work by managing business calls or walk-throughs, and cannot physically assist with the work. This has had a huge effect on their business and income, in addition to the stress and exhaustion they are already under. Mandy and Jeremy have 3 wonderful boys. Their oldest, Carson (16), is playing football and hopefully makes it into college level with his talents. Parker (13), loves basketball and football and will be playing Wando C-Team. Jesse (10) is playing football with the East Cooper Warhawks. With all 3 boys playing football in 3 different leagues, this requires Mandy to manage 3 different calendars, along with her treatment plan, in addition to working full time while navigating through "Chemo Brain," and all the other side effects from her treatment. Jeremy has been handling their business since her diagnosis and has been Mandys amazing caregiver. Now that their resources are becoming limited, Mandy is starting to feel guilty that she cannot contribute. She is so thankful for her family, friends, and all the people she doesn't even know - showing kindness, being her prayer warriors, providing food and groceries, and going out of their way to show support and love. She has been so blessed by all of you. Mandy is trying to keep and positive outlook and inspire others that may be going through hard times, or that may be in her shoes. She is hoping to pay it forward sooner than later. Mandy is still due for surgery on 7/21/23. After this, she will start daily Radiation for up to 33 Rounds. During Radiation, she will complete Immunotherapy, every 3 weeks for 9 rounds. Mandy is a bright light in this world, and if you know her - there is no way you don't love her. She is fun, adventurous, loving, and loyal. She is an amazing wife, mother, family member, and friend. She gives her "all" to her family and has raised the 3 most amazing boys. Jeremy is also such a bright light in this world. He brings humor and love, something that everyone needs. Please help us raise money to take away some of this financial burden from their shoulders. I know everyone has had an experience with insurance coverage, and the high amount of money you are still required to pay, even after they cover some of the fees and costs. Mandy has already endured a lot in this very short time and still has a long road of treatment and costs ahead of her. All of this, in addition to the stress of trying to provide a normal and comfortable schedule for their 3 boys, is exhausting. Not to mention how much 3 growing (TALL) boys eat weekly in grocery costs. Help us show Mandy and the Lee Family our love and support - any amount helps!!! Thank you for reading, the endless prayers, and anything you can provide. Love, The Lee Family
