To whomever might have a moment to pause here:I wish that a bolt of inspiration would hit me and I would find a way to be witty and engaging and inspiring, but I can only be honest. I'm trying to raise money so that I can retain my status as a student at Loyola University Chicago. Those who know me, and particularly those who watched me grow through high school and make this transition to college, will know how incredibly happy I am here. This experience has so far been everything I ever could have wanted. I adore my friends, my classes, my apartment that's decorated with posters. I love the Jesuits and the presence of my faith on campus. I love Chicago and all the opportunities I have to explore it.At this point, I find myself struggling to project how I will manage to finish out this year financially, let alone next year or the year following. I work a part-time job through the school year and a full-time job through the summer. I apply for scholarships and federal aid, and I've exhausted my savings. Anything you would be willing to donate, be it five dollars or five cents, would help me to stay on track for graduation. If you're interested in knowing more about me and my student experience, I'm starting a blog at ampersandras.wordpress.com. It details why I chose Loyola, what I'm currently working on, and hopefully it will provide a platform for you to get to know me a little better.I truly appreciate the support that I've received thus far from family and friends, and even if you don't give me a dime, I appreciate you for reading this, and for giving me just a moment of your time. Thank you.
