Hi everyone My name is Derek and I’m putting together a fundraiser to raise money for a local veteran, avid outdoorsman and family member who was recently in an unfortunate UTV accident this weekend. The funds will be going towards hospital bills, monthly payments etc! The veteran has requested to stay anonymous and requested that I don’t go through all the trouble of this for him, BUT we as humans need to pick up our loved ones when they are down whether they accept it or not! This brave man has served in active combat in the war against terror against the US without blinking an eye, but when it comes to asking for help he struggles. He is currently laying in a hospital bed wondering how he is going to make ends meet, and be able to keep life going with his current conditions. I want everyone to know that if donating to this cause, this will not be considered a hand out but a helping hand! I have set the goal at $10,000, but anything is going to be greatly appreciated! I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read this and helps this local soldier overcome this obstacle! UPDATE: I wanted to give everyone an update that is following this fundraiser. He is now in the comfort of his own home with his family. He still has a long road ahead of him with rehab etc. We appreciate each and everyone of you that have donated to help him overcome this accident! Unfortunately he still needs a lot of help.
