On a weekend that was suppose to be filled with fun & excitement over some T-ball, my sister Joanna and her partner Cristian were hit with one of the worse news a parent could get. Huitzi was diagnosed with Mixed Phenotype Leukemia, which is two forms of leukemia combined: acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia Huitzi who is only 6 years old is always full of love and smiles and loves giving hugs. Huizti loves when her parents make plans to meet up with her cousins to have picnics at the zoo. She loves to paint with her parents, shes got quite the collection! Playing T-ball and swimming with her dad is also something she truly loves. My sister and brother-in-law are wonderful parents that have worked hard to provide Huizti with the amazing life she has. Our hearts ache knowing they have a hard journey ahead of them. They will need all the love and support they can get. They have had a lot of family and friends ask how they can help . .
