Hi! My name is Liam (he/they) and I am raising funds to help cover my upcoming top surgery and recovery care this August. I am a Black queer transmasc non-binary artist from California now living in New York with a loving, supportive, and affirming community around me. I have been waiting years for this opportunity and am excited to step into this moment with a more stable and healthy living situation and chosen family to walk with me through it. I am beyond excited to see the ways top surgery will transform my life! From self-confidence and better mental health, to no more daily back/rib pain, and social anxieties: this procedure will help me thoroughly ENJOY my life in ways I haven't experienced or even dreamed of. That said, with my insurance and my savings I will be able to pay for a portion of surgery-related costs myself but will need help to cover the rest. I am hoping to raise $1,250 which will go towards medical costs, aftercare/recovery supplies, and food. I am happy to share my spreadsheet with each budget line item if you're curious about where your money is going. My hope is to be as transparent as possible about this funding process so I plan to continually share updates and am happy to answer any questions in the meantime.
