Hey guys, i’m a 21 year old trans man from cali, i’ve been struggling with housing since i was kicked out at the age of 18. Thankfully i got into a housing program 3 months ago and it really turned my life around. Helped me get on track with my mental and physical health. I’m in such a better place now. Unfortunately, the program is done on August 5th, and i’ll be moved to a housing arrangement not meant for LGBT people, but for men who were in the foster system. Everyone there is Cisgender and it’s on a conservative part of town, it’s either go there or a shelter. I’m very scared to live with a bunch of cis men who i don’t know. A lot of times, sexual assault and rape happen in programs like these to lgbt people. I’ve gotten to such a better point in my life, away from all that trauma. I don’t want to go through it again. I just need enough for the first month somewhere then i will be moving out of state soon when my partner gets the funds. Please help me on my journey to peace and safety, im so close.
