Jennifer Wade is an extraordinary woman and artist whose infectious energy lights up the lives of those fortunate enough to cross her path. She has a rare ability to see beyond the surface, delving into the depths of people's hearts and connecting with them on a profound level. Her compassion for others is a true testament to her selflessness; she generously pours her heart and soul out to her loved ones and is a cherished friend of so many. On Friday, June 30th, Jenn received some heavy news that brought her to a halt. Having recently undergone a biopsy to examine a lump in her breast, she was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. Following her surgery on Thursday, July 13th, Jenn will be faced with several grueling treatments, including 3 months of chemo, followed by radiation, and 5 years of consistent medication. The prospects, her doctors assure her, are positive, but it is going to be a long road to recovery that will require her full attention and commitment. As Jenn commits to healing both physically and emotionally, she is forced to cancel her work opportunities and put her small business as an artist and a creative on the back burner for at least a year. She will be relying solely on her savings and the support of her loving partner, Jeremy, to afford this unexpected detour. The goal currently set is with hopes of helping Jenn and Jeremy upkeep their home, art studio, and most importantly, Jenn's health and wellness as they navigate this incredibly costly journey. These funds will help cover a year's worth of medication costs, strictly organic foods, therapy and healing sessions, immune boosting treatments, supplements, transportation to and from daily doctor's appointments, as well as basic rent and maintenance costs of their living and work spaces. For all those of us whose lives have been touched and enriched by Jenn’s unwavering love, her absolutely outrageous humour, incredible artistic talent and professionalism; for all the times that Jenn has been there for us, whether hauling boxes during a move, promoting and bigging up our projects/events/shows, delivering sage advice that has made it possible for us to grow and heal; for all those times and so many more…it is now our turn to say “We got you!”. Jenn is truly one of the most magical, bright beings that we are all so profoundly lucky to have in our lives. We need her with us for many more years and decades, for there is much that she is still meant to do in this life!
