Kathy Parks Jackson is a teacher and an artist in our shop Mountain Sun Arts, located in Fairplay CO. Kathy was involved in a major motorcycle accident on October 1, 2024. She sustained significant & serious injuries. She’s had surgeries for 2 metal femurs, screws in hip & knee, broken wrist, plate in hand & spinal surgery. She was in the hospital for 2 1/2 months. She is a fighter as has been proven as she learned to walk again and is working to regain full use of her hand-critical for anyone, but especially for an artist. These injuries will require treatment and rehabilitation for some time to come. Hospital and medical bills are mounting. She was unable to work for 5 months and took a significant loss of income. In addition, her home required major plumbing repairs, which couldn’t have come at a worse time. Your generosity is greatly needed to help offset these devastating financial setbacks.
