My plea is for my cousin Kathy Barton OConnor.  This past July 2015, Kathy was not feeling well and went to the doctor's.  The story that unfolded is heartbreaking.  Kathy is 62 and she was told that she has Pancreatic Cancer that has spread to her liver, lungs, and lymph  nodes.  She is currently receiving chemo at Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock.  She is also receiving "study" chemo in hopes that they can "buy her some time".  Kathy is married, she has 1 son, and 2 granddaughters.  She has worked hard her whole life and just wants time to do more.  Kathy is unable to work , has no health insurance and requires frequent trips to Hanover/Lebanon NH for treatments.  Without her income and all the added expenses, she is wondering how she will pay for oil and other expenses.  I think most of us realize when we have a 2 income family that things can get a bit tight to try to maintain a budget.  Kathy will be able to get disability around December, but in the mean time she has to use all her energy to fight this horrible disease.  Won't you please help her to extend her life to share with her family?
