Hi, my name is Sandy, I am John Tyler (JT) Romo’s Aunt. JT crashed his dirt bike on Monday, July 3rd. He had to be flown flight for life to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. He broke his back at T6 & T7 and couldn’t feel his legs. He underwent surgery yesterday, July 4th, where they stabilized his spine. He does have damage to his spinal cord, however they cannot say to what extent and we do not know what that means for JT right now. What we do know is that he is starting to regain feeling in his feet, which is a great sign. The surgeon said his injury is severe and it’s going to be a long road to recovery. I am positive that JT is a fighter and will do all he can to be able to walk again. I also know that the care he has received so far has been excellent, but will be so expensive even with good insurance! They have said he will need to stay in the hospital for a few weeks and will have to go to a rehab facility. I know my sister and brother in law would never ask for help, but I know people want to help! If you can donate to help them with John’s road to recovery, our family would be forever grateful!
