A few weeks after Christmas, Jennifer went into the hospital with severe abdominal pains. After an initial PET Scan, it was discovered that she had appendicitis and needed to have emergency surgery. The surgeon discovered that her appendix had burst. What had initially been perceived as a standard appendectomy, became a major 3-hour life-saving surgery. During the surgery, they discovered a mass. And that is where the battle started. On January 20th, 2024 Jennifer was diagnosed with Stage 4 Appendiceal cancer. For the last eight months, Jennifer has been in the fight of her life with this unrelenting disease.  Jennifer has endured surgery after surgery, multiple hospital stays, high doses of steroids, and chemotherapy. She is currently on blood thinners after blood clots were discovered in her arm. Jennifer is a gentle warrior with an indomitable spirit, but the unanticipated medical costs continue to overwhelm, with a tsunami of medical bills for everything from prescription costs to her chemotherapy protocol. For her 51 years on this planet, Jennifer has been a giver – to everyone, with gentleness and kindness and never an ask in return. Today we’re making that ask for her. We ask that you give whatever you can. She has a beloved daughter and two feisty and loving grandchildren whose world revolve around her. Any help would be very much appreciated. We thank you in advance and ask that you keep Jennifer and her family in your prayers.
