Hello, everyone. I am a 43 year old single mother to an eight year old girl. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. It has metastasized to my liver. I have not been given much hope from the medical community at this time. I don’t accept that. I can’t accept that. I need to survive long enough to see my angel into adulthood. The tumor in my breast and lymph nodes is estrogen positive and HER2 negative. I have had a panel of genetic testing. Everything currently known to potentially contribute to breast cancer in my test panel was negative. My current treatment involves hormone therapy and Ibrance. I was told that surgery is not an option. I have a second opinion set up at another provider on July 31st, 2024. If they say the same thing, I will continue searching. I will continuously update as I have more information. I am asking for help so that I can explore all forms of treatment I can find and to help with the exorbitant out of pocket expenses for my current treatment. The current treatment uses “specialty drugs” which do not go towards my deductible. Please share this link. Every share and every cent can make a difference and is greatly appreciated. If anyone can link me to a clinical trial that would fit my circumstances, please reach out. •Update• 08/01/2024 Care has been switched to KU medical center. The care plan sounds as though it will be similar to the current one. We are awaiting a call to schedule a liver biopsy. The results will determine the next course of action. *Update* 07/20/24 Over the last year I have been on many different treatments including, kisqali, letrozole, ovary and fallopian tube removal, oral chemotherapy, and two different IV chemotherapy drugs. I have tried every nontraditional treatment that I can afford. Fasting, carrot juice, phenben, curcumin, turkey tail, cranberry, baking soda, black seed oil, modified citrus pectin, frankincense, bee venom, dmso, sulforaphane, flaxseed in cottage cheese, hydrogen therapy, many many detox protocols, near infrared, far infrared, methylene blue, iodine, Essiac tea, berberine, melatonin, etc. There are two clinical trials that I tried to get into, but did not qualify for. At this time, there are no other clinical trials for my type of cancer. I am hoping to be able to go to the riordan clinic early next year. At this time, my only option is what insurance covers and that is chemotherapy. Through all of this, the tumor in my breast has shrunk. However, liver metastasis continues to grow. The largest being 4.5 centimeters. I will be scanned again in September to see where everything is at.
