Hello, My name is Jay Wilson. On 6/24/2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer that had spread and created 5 mets in my liver. I had 29 Chemo sessions and 32 days of radiation. Over 20 Scans, and 7 surgeries. During this time My wife and I were operating the most successful funeral home in our town. Working with the families we served during that time, took away the anger, fear, and dismay the treatments caused. 5 days before the last and most crucial surgery, a Liver resection, The foreign company the owners sold out to, fired me, my wife, and even our great support dog "Rigby". They found a clever way around having to pay out sick time, leave, and Colorodo's new Family leave law. This left us without income and insurance during this crucial time. I will find out in a few days if I am Cancer free. Regardless, expenses have mounted, and more visits and labs will be needed. I am proud that I was able to work 50+ hours a week during this whole process, but now need help to finish kicking its ass. And maybe a little to hire a lawyer, to make sure they do not do this to anyone else.
