James is 83 years old, almost 84 and has no family left to look after him. He was kicked out of a senior citizen apartment complex that he loved because he wouldn’t take the vaccine, and was left homeless for several weeks until he was accepted in a very run down apartment complex. James has not been eating well for several months because he cannot stand up long enough to prepare his meals. He has to have treatments every week to drain fluid from his abdomen due to liver problems. He desires to live in a clean environment free of roaches and where three meals a day are prepared. He is on a very small income and was just accepted into an assisted living complex near his church. His monthly rent would be subsidized with his advantage care plan. They will give James 3 meals a day, help with his meds, laundry and cleaning. However the assistant living facility just informed us there is a $1500 deposit required to move in. James doesn’t have that kind of money. He is in the hospital recovering from hernia surgery, and just diagnosed with heart disease. His dream is to never return to the apartment he currently dwells in-it is a very depressing, smoke filled facility. Can we please help James live out his remaining days/years in a clean, smoke free environment?
