On May 23rd, my daughter's father, Sean, passed away. His tragic death was sudden and unexpected, and is still under investigation. He was the father to 3 children, my daughter Jaedyn (19), and her two younger half-siblings. Sean died on Jaedyn's sibling's 10th birthday. While Jaedyn is only 19, currently trying to support herself through community college, she is also Sean's next of kin, and left to deal with a lot of paperwork and expenses. Sean unfortunately did not have any life insurance to help with financial impact of his passing. Alongside grieving her huge loss, working, and trying to finish her classes, Jaedyn has had to drive back and forth from the Willamette Valley in Oregon up to the Greater Seattle area, where her father was living. From paying for gas to drive that distance, to missing school and work, she has also had to deal with his end-of-life expenses. There is still so much to be done but Jaedyn cannot afford any of it. We are raising money to support Jaedyn as she works out the following: -Attorney & legal fees -Gas from driving there and back - Lost wages (both past and upcoming) -Paying her and her dad's joined phone bill (his phone is needed to access his accounts) -Cremation reimbursement -Burial The bulk of this money will go to the attorney and legal fees, as he has debts and investments that need to be resolved. However this has also really impacted Jaedyn's ability to pay her own obligations because she no longer receives financial support from her Dad.
