Two months ago, Jackie had a terrible fall. This innocent accident has changed her life dramatically. Due to serious injuries and the inability to work as the result, we are humbly asking for your generosity to help support overwhelming medical expenses. Jackie is in need and she needs all of us to gather around her. Jackie’s story: My name is Jackie Unruh and two months ago, while letting my little dog outside, I had a horrific fall. In a blink of an eye, this fall broke my shoulder - my upper arm bone and shoulder socket were broken so seriously that it has impacted my ability to raise my arm and to work. I am a self-employed hairdresser and now I can not raise or use my arm to work. What seems like such a simple occurrence, has now become a major life event which has changed my ability to function. Since my medical insurance coverage is minimal, the combination of large medical bills (e.g. ambulance; medication; treatment) and a lack of a pay check, are overwhelming. Consequently, basic survival needs like affording groceries, paying a mortgage and paying utility bills (to name a few) have become monumental. This unforeseen accident has even caused extreme difficulty in performing even simple daily-living skills, like dressing and bathing; skills that many of us may take for granted, until something like this happens to one of us. I am focusing all my energy to strengthen my body so that I may one day regain my physical fortitude and my previous independent life. I miss working and I miss all my clients at my hair salon.
