"whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow's nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in paradise" All across Colombia, Muslim communities are slowly growing, but many face challenges due to their status as a minority religion, such as limited access to a nearby mosque. Despite these obstacles, I was able to visit the only mosque in the bustling city of Cartagena, which opened a few years ago. This mosque is called "Mezquita de Muhammad" and it serves as a safe place for immigrants, reverts, and tourists from all corners of the world. Unfortunately, the economic crisis in the country has made it difficult for the Muslim community to generate sufficient funds to improve the area of the mosque. However, they still remain determined to help establish more mosques in other cities across Colombia, allowing people the opportunity to come together for prayer and enabling the growth of the Muslim population. You're donations can make a difference by supporting the mosque in Cartagena to help build and improve multiple mosques throughout the country. They will have the opportunity to acquire essential supplies such as buildings, carpets, prayer mats/ clothing, air conditioning, chairs and many more essentials, which will be shared with smaller Muslim communities in Colombia. These resources will create a safe and comfortable environment for Muslims to practice their faith, connect with fellow sisters or brothers, and strengthen the community.
