My only son is a type 1 diabetic, who has struggled since being diagnosed 7 years ago. He also suffers from the condition of "thick blood" which leads to clotting. Early April of this year 2024 he was admitted in and out of the hospital repeatedly. suffering from Diabetic Ketoacidosis. As well they found 2 blood clots, one being in his abdomen and the other in his leg. After placing a stent in his abdomen they were able to release that clot. Unfortunately, the clot in his leg refused to flow. leading to no other choice but to remove his leg from the knee down. Ian, for most of his life, has worked in the union. He is a member of Local 592 Cement Mason Union for almost 20 years. He's left his mark on many miles of sidewalks through the city with his concrete work. Built many bridges throughout the state. He has 2 amazing boys Im proud to call my grandsons and his world has been turned upside down. There is no income coming in for the past months and is limited in what he can do at this moment. Im asking for your help because I can't give him the financial help he needs, becoming disabled myself in 2017. The prosthetic leg will have to be partially paid out of pocket. With his determination, strong will and a little of your help he'll find a way to get back on his feet again.
