Hi, my name is Clancy and Howard is the father of my daughter's best friend. Howard is a 65 year old gentle soul, who lives a simple life and exudes kindness. On July 5th Howard was brutally attaked and beaten with a baseball bat, by a neighbour. Howard sustained two broken arms, while trying to protect his head from the bat, as the attacker was going for his head. Both arms have had to have surgery, and plates and screws added to his bones He has extreme brusing on his side and legs from the bat, and a cracked hip bone. He cant walk or feed himself or do anything with either arm. Drs at Kootenay lake hospital were horrified by this circumstance and the state of Howard and put reports as well into the RCMP. Howard is a loving father of two teenage girls, a yogi, healer and organic farmer. He has helped my daughter fix her vehicle numerous times asking nothing in return. We were all saddened to hear the news of this brutal, senseless attack on such a kind soul. Howard is now staying at his daughter's and their mother's home, for the long road of healing and recovery. He wont be able to use his hands to do any of the work he normally does, or to care for himself. Any help to assist in lessening the weight of this experience for the family would be greatly appreciated.
