We need your help to provide safe living conditions for our dear friend, Helena. She is a 79-year-old Pasadena, Texas resident who has had many setbacks in her life. Despite almost being blind in one eye, trouble walking and the heartbreak of losing her twin sister, Helena has always maintained a fighting spirit. However, she has faced a difficult battle due to her horrific living conditions. Helena has been living with a severe roach and bedbug infestation problem for the past six years. Her small 450-square-foot apartment is also battling extensive mold issues, rat holes and unattended sewer problems. The situation has become so severe that she has not been able to take a bath for over three years. Home healthcare workers cannot enter her home due to the bedbug infestation and her family is not around to provide assistance. This LFEBridge was started to give Helena a fighting chance to live in decent conditions. Donations will be used to cover expenses to move her into a new apartment for up to two years. These expenses include repurchasing basic items such as a bed, pillows, a wheelchair, a walker, clothes and other necessities that must be destroyed because of the infestation. Helena will have to leave everything she owns behind. Your help can provide her with a fresh start and a chance to live with dignity. Every donation will make a difference.
