Hello to all of our family and friends! As many of you know our son Hayden has big ambitions to become a pilot! Anyone who knows Hayden cannot deny he has always been a very ambitious and bright boy. When he was 4 years old he came home from preschool and told Shawn and I he wanted to be an engineer and asked how he could become one and what school he could go to. Hayden has always excelled academically and has always demonstrated to be a good, level headed young man. Three years ago Hayden wanted to join the Air Force as a pilot. That dream was unfortunately short lived, as just one year later Hayden grew so much within a few months, his vision changed dramatically and he no longer meets the qualifications to become a pilot with the Air Force. While living in Groveland for a few years, Hayden meet a pilot and was given hope that although he may not be able to become a pilot in the Air Force, he could still become a private pilot and even a commercial pilot with an airline. Since Hayden learned this, he has had a spark in him that we haven’t seen before. Hayden is in the 11th grade this year and taking college level classes. He will be pursuing a degree in Aviation at Metro State in Denver, and once graduated he will start working on his commercial pilots license. He has started working on his private pilots license and will obtain that by the time he is 17 years old next February! He has been working and applying all of his money to start his lessons and pay for the insurance, membership fees and other start up fees. This is where this fundraiser comes in. We are hoping to help raise money to help keep Hayden on track and help him achieve his goal of becoming a pilot. Donations can happen in a couple of ways.
